Frequently Asked Questions

 

We want your facility booking experience to be straightforward and easy. Please review our key attributes of our facility and team to consider while you plan your event, then, simply submit the completed Facility Request Form and we will call you directly as soon as possible.

  • Horse In Hand Ranch Ltd. or (owners) Darryl and Kellie Leyen do not assume any liability of any kind.

  • Hours of operation: 10 am to 5 pm generally. There may be adjustments made based on each event.

  • HIHR has video surveillance 24 hrs/day.

  • We have a strict NO DOGS policy! This is applicable to our entire premises.

  • There are 8 available powered camping spots and 10 non powered spots.

  • Indoor stabling includes the first 2 bags of shavings, ready in your stall when you get here. Forks, brooms and muck buckets are provided so you can clean your stalls each day.

    At the end of your stay, we will do the final strip and clean of your stall. Our treat!

  • There are 2 parking areas in-front of the barn. Trucks and horse trailers drive down to the lower lot, unload and then return to the upper lot to park and unhook. Trailers are welcome to stay for the duration of the events. Regular vehicle traffic can form lines along the side of the main barn.

    Depending on the size and scope of attendees to your event, we may recommend a parking attendant. Please chat with us in advance to help you set this up.

  • We have a wheelchair accessible bathroom on the main level, a 2 stall bathroom on the main floor and another, 2 stall bathroom on the upper level. There is a shower available.

  • HIHR requires a 25% deposit to hold the facility for your requested dates. Once that is paid, dates are officially held for your event. We can also add your registrations, waivers and any specific information to our online schedule of events located on the main page of our website.

  • Your specific set up can be done the evening before the event.

    Participants and their horses can come in the evening before the event if the host is onsite to facilitate this.

  • There is an in-house sound system included in the rental of the indoor arena capable of playing music as well as microphones for speaker(s) or clinician(s).

  • Auditors and spectators are welcome if it is not a closed event. Auditing fees are set by the clinic or event organizer.
